The Gage Towers at UBC has offered delegates of the 7th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain the following room types based on availability. To help you make your choice, guestroom types (based on availability) are arranged by rate. Room rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to 15% hotel taxes (8% Hotel Tax and 7% Goods & Services Tax).

Transportation Note: Transportation to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (Symposium Venue) from The Gage Towers at UBC is not provided.
Delegates must make their own way to the Symposium Venue. Public Transit travel time is approx. 20-25 minutes (travel time to and from
UBC may vary depending on time of day and traffic conditions).
Parking: Parking is available at The Gage Towers on a first-come-first-served basis at a rate of $5.00 CAD per vehicle per day (subject to change).
GUIDE TO ACCOMODATION
YOU HAVE TWO EASY WAYS TO REGISTER:
1. On-line (Preferred Method): Please register for the Symposium and make your Accommodation reservations.
2. By Mail or Fax: When registering for the Symposium, please ensure to also complete the Accommodation section of the Registration Form (included with this announcement) and mail to
the Symposium Secretariat or fax to +1 604 681 1049. Do not only submit the accommodation section. Accommodations will not be secured without a fully completed registration form to attend the Symposium.
Requests will be filled in the order received provided that the registration form is complete and is accompanied by a credit card number to guarantee the reservation or noted cheque deposit. The
ISPP 2006 Secretariat reserves the right to make your reservation at an alternate hotel in the same price range should your choice not be available. Availability of rooms cannot be guaranteed after May 25, 2006. Rooms will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. We urge you to submit your registration form early to obtain your preferred accommodation and rates.
If you do not have a credit card, you may send a cheque or bank transfer deposit in the amount of:

The Gage Towers at UBC - $50.00 CAD
per room which is required to secure your hotel reservation. Please note, if you are requesting a suite, please contact us at isppregistration@meet-ics.com to determine deposit amount. Reservation requests received without a valid credit card number, cheque or bank transfer deposit will not be acted upon. Please use the banking information as noted in the payment section below.
All individuals will be responsible for their own room charges, incidental charges and hotel taxes as noted in this announcement.
Upon check-in, the hotel will take an imprint of your credit card to guarantee final payment of all charges incurred during your stay.
CANCELLATION AND RESERVATION CHANGES
Please note, up to Friday, June 9, 2006 cancellations or changes to arrival and departure dates (based on availability) of existing bookings are to be performed by the ISPP2006 Secretariat (please do not contact the hotel directly).
Cancellations or changes WILL NOT be accepted by phone. All cancellations or changes must be requested in writing by mail, fax or email (preferred). Please note, delegates will be asked to contact the hotel directly from Saturday, June 10, 2006 for ease of booking. Hotel contact information will be available on the Symposium website from this date forward.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a penalty charge of one night’s room and tax which will be applied to the credit card on file or loss of cheque or bank transfer deposit.
Please Note: Failure to arrive on the scheduled arrival date will result in cancellation of the hotel reservation and a charge equal to one night’s room and taxes or more charged to the credit card number given above or loss of cheque or bank transfer deposit. Please confirm the length of your stay with the hotel at check-in time. Should you decide to leave earlier, the hotel may charge for all nights reserved.
BABY-SITTING & DAY CARE FACILITIES
Please check with the hotel for available baby-sitting, day care services and fees. Arrangements for such services should be made in advance.
