Call for Submissions
Back by popular demand, ISPP2010 will feature a Media Festival. We are inviting film submissions which focus on child health in which pain is a featured element.
Original programs are welcome in the following formats DVD, CD and VHS. Categories include Short Film (less than 30 minutes) or Long Film (more than 30 minutes), either for Professional or General Audiences. All selected films will be screened during the Symposium in accordance with a published schedule. The Media Festival will close with a Film Discussion Panel – participating film-makers will explain the process involved with film production.

Terms of Reference
Original programs dealing with health issues in childhood, from infancy to young adult, in which pain is featured or an important element.
Programs formatted on DVD, VHS and CD will be accepted.
Categories
Films should be designated according to one of the four categories. Based on audience Classifications & Program Lengths:
- Films for Professional Audiences - Short Film: less than 30 minutes in duration
- Films for Professional Audiences - Long Film: between 31 - 120 minutes in duration
- Films for General Audiences - Short Film: less than 30 minutes in duration
- Films for General Audiences - Long Film: between 31 - 120 minutes in duration
Winners from each of the Four Categories
All submitted films will be reviewed by the Media Festival Committee, including local film-makers who will select the winners and runner-ups. Media Festival winners will be featured and announced at the 8th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain in Acapulco, Mexico in March 2010.
Prizes
An inscribed plaque will be awarded for each of the four categories of the 2nd International Symposium on Pediatric Pain Media Festival.
Rules of Participation
Programs will be used for the purposes of the Media Festival only. A representative or person involved with the winning programs must be available to participate in the Film Discussion Panel at the 8th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain in Acapulco, Mexico in March 2010.
Programs must list their running times and identify the appropriate Audience Category as described above.
All participants are required to sign an Information Waiver Release Form verifying that the person or organization submitting the film has full rights to the film and is authorized to submit the work to the ISPP 2010 Media Festival.

A $75 USD administrative fee will be charged for each submission to the 8th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain Media Festival. Accepted participants are required to officially register for ISPP 2010. Registration Information can be found on the Registration / Accommodation page.
Where to send your Media Festival Submission
All Media Festival submissions, along with the Statement of Release, should be sent to the Symposium Secretariat, International Conference Services by the deadline.
