Thank you to all authors who submitted an abstract for the Fourth International Chicago Symposium on Malignancies of the Chest and Head & Neck.

 

Abstract Submission Guidelines

The Fourth International Chicago Symposium on Malignancies of the Chest and Head & Neck Scientific Committee is inviting the submission of contributed scientific Abstracts on the following subject areas:

  • Basic Research - Lung Cancer
  • Clinical Research - Lung Cancer
  • Translational Research - Lung Cancer
  • Basic Research - Head & Neck Cancer
  • Clinical Research - Head & Neck Cancer
  • Translational Research - Head & Neck Cancer

Please submit your Abstract via the online submission form. Download detailed instructions for more information on preparing your abstract and a step by step guide through the process.

The research work submitted should be original, innovative and should not have been presented elsewhere. Abstracts should be in English only, no more than 280 words in length. Images and graphics are accepted, but each counts as 75 words  towards the total allowed . Tables may be included if necessary and kept to a reasonable size. Tables shall count as 75 words against the 280-word count as well. Presentations will primarily be as a poster presentation, though a small number may be asked to present orally. The Science Committee, which will evaluate all submitted abstracts, reserves the right to accept or reject any abstract.

Prepare your abstract in word processing software such as MS Word, WordPerfect, or a text editor such as MS Write. Do not use presentation software such as PowerPoint. When ready to submit, Use your web browser to go to www.meet-ics.com/mchn/ and follow the Abstract Submission link on the conference website. Please note, you must use a level 4 or later browser (Internet Explorer 4 + , Netscape 4+ not 7, any version of Firefox). Netscape 7 is not supported.

The results of the peer review are expected to be available by early August 2006. The submitting author will be notified by email. Subsequent correspondence will be with the presenting author(s). If you have not received a notice by August 15, please check the status of your paper by logging back into the abstract site, and check your session details, or contact techsupport@scolars.com.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, and submission of an abstract conveys permission to be printed in that Journal.

Presenting Authors of Accepted Abstracts are required to register for the Symposium. Please take advantage of the early registration fee by submitting your registration to the Symposium Secretariat by the early deadline of August 4, 2006.
