Student or Shared Accommodation Options

The hotels listed above have rates quoted for single, double and triple occupancy. Thus up to 3 people can share one room.  Being an all suite property, the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire would be the best option for triple occupancy and at $239 per night would be approximately $79.66 + taxes per person, per night.

Another affordable option would be the University of Calgary as mentioned below. The University offers 2 and 4 bedroom apartments for rent. These are affordable, however they are located about 15 – 20 minutes away from the Conference Venue, via rapid transit. More information on theses options is located below.

On a budget? Do you want to stay somewhere different from a hotel? Why not stay on campus? The University of Calgary offers a variety of room styles to meet the needs of various travelers. If you are a budget conscious traveler who does not want to compromise on comfort, these facilities are perfect for you.

Accommodation Type:

The regular nightly rate for a 4-bedroom apartment based on single/double/triple/quad occupancy is $206.00 plus taxes (Currently 5% GST and 4% Alberta Tourism Levy).
Four Bedroom Apartments: includes four single beds, one washroom, kitchen and sitting area. Basic daily housekeeping is provided. Linens will be changed every three days. Cutlery, plates, cooking utensils and phones are not provided for these rooms but can be rented from the front desk in Cascade Hall.

Convenient Location

The University of Calgary is conveniently located in Northwest Calgary with easy access to Downtown by public transportation on the Light Rail Transit (LRT). Transit currently cost $2.50 one way and takes approximately 15-20 minutes from the Telus Convention Centre to the University.
