Several Optional Tours along with a complimentary Afternoon Social Excursion will be offered during the 13th World Conference on Lung Cancer which will provide a chance to discover the beauty of San Francisco’s natural setting, fabulous foods, world-class venues and diverse cultural heritage.

PHOTOGRAPHIC TOUR OF SAN FRANCISCO
SF TourSan Francisco’s uniqueness is in its variety. The City is far from vast or sprawling, but it does have far more than its share of distinct and vibrant neighborhoods. We’ll provide disposable cameras so you can capture your own photos of all the favorite destinations: North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Hyde Street Pier and Ghirardelli Square.

WELCOME TO THE ROCK (TOUR OF ALCATRAZ)
AlcatrazFrom the Moscone West, you will transfer to Pier 33 for the short ferry ride to Alcatraz for a captivating self-guided tour of the Rock, one of the most notorious prisons in American history - available in foreign languages. Back on the mainland, you will have the opportunity to browse through the Waterfront Landmark of Pier 39 before returning to the Moscone West.

A FERRY CRUISE & PIER 39
FerryTake a journey along San Francisco's historic waterfront. There's no better way to experience unobstructed views of sensational skylines in every direction. It's a great vantage point for snapping pictures or simply reflecting on the vast beauty of the San Francisco Bay! Back on land, discover PIER 39. Once an abandoned cargo pier, Pier 39 has been transformed into a waterfront festival marketplace with quaint stores, bay view restaurants, street performers, a double-deck carousel and hundreds of sea lions that have taken up residence on the Pier’s K-dock.

CHINATOWN WALKING TOUR
ChinatownSee, hear, touch and taste San Francisco's most aromatic neighborhood. During our guided walk through Chinatown you will see four blocks of unique shops and restaurants, busy streets and hidden back alleys, plus the famous Chinatown fortune cookie factory. Take a picture of The Shrine, famous San Francisco landmark and learn about the history of San Francisco, the re-invention of this district after the Great Earthquake, and the role of the Chinese in building the Transcontinental Railroad. Chinatown is definitely one of the most historic parts of San Francisco. Transportation provided to/from the Moscone West.

Pier 39Journey to many of the city’s most famous spots including the Golden Gate Bridge and Twin Peaks for some of the most beautiful panoramic views. Feel the energy of Union Square, the Financial District and Chinatown. Experience Fisherman's Wharf, a waterfront landmark and home to Pier 39, The Cannery, and Ghirardelli Square.

THE HISTORIC PRESIDIO

FROM MUIR WOODS TO SAUSALITO

Muir WoodsTravel across the well loved Golden Gate Bridge into beautiful Marin County, making a brief stop at the North Tower where everyone can capture on film the breathtaking view of the City from across San Francisco Bay. You will then
wind down the Panoramic Highway into Muir Woods, home to the tallest, oldest trees in the world. After touring Muir Woods, you will be taken to the charming seaside town of Sausalito for spectacular views of the Bay and some shopping at leisure.

A DAY IN NAPA VALLEY WINE COUNTRY

Napa ValleyJust over an hour from San Francisco, Napa Valley is famous for its rolling hills, beautiful vineyards, and top-quality wineries. Your tour will include a visit to two wineries, where you will tour the grounds, learn about the special
vintages, and taste the winery’s wares. Enjoy also a stop in St Helena, a quaint village packed with antique and specialty shops in the heart of the valley.
