On behalf of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), we are pleased to invite you to the 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer being held September 2-6, 2007 in Seoul, Korea. More than 5,000 participants are expected, and we hope that you will join us for this unique scientific and cultural experience.

We are currently experiencing a surge in exciting new data in the lung cancer field, both in basic and translational research, prevention and treatment strategies. The 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer will be a great opportunity for lung cancer professionals from around the world to share the most updated knowledge and views on lung cancer and to probe more deeply into the challenging issues. More than 200 lung cancer specialists from a wide range of disciplines will participate in the scientific program and their presentations will provide delegates with information on the latest developments in basic and clinical research.

The 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Seoul will also provide an opportunity for all participants to explore a further understanding of epidemiology and biology of lung cancer to ultimately contribute to enhancing its prevention and treatment.

We will continue our tradition of holding a Young Investigator's Day that will be an interactive session dedicated to young trainees and researchers who hope to pursue a career in lung cancer.
