Registration and Congress Bag Distribution
The Registration & Information Desk and Congress Bag Distribution will be located on the 1st floor of the VCEC in the Convention Lobby. Both will be open during the following hours:

Please be sure to present your Confirmation of Registration for quick check-in at the Registration & Information Desk. Your Congress Bag will contain all program materials and will be available for pickup at the Congress Bag Distribution counter. Please present your Congress Bag voucher to receive your bag. The Registration & Information Desk phone number is 604-647-7401, this number will be active from July 27 - 31 ONLY.
Tourism Vancouver will also have an information desk setup in the Registration & Information area during the Congress. Participants will be able to obtain information about local restaurants, sites and the city of Vancouver.

*Members of WVA: Any veterinarian registered to practice in a member country association is a member of the WVA. Click here to view a list of membership countries.
**Students - MUST state the name of the Institution of where they are studying or working on their Registration Form. As
well, students are required to submit an official letter on their Institution’s letterhead OR photocopy of their 2007/2008 Student ID from the Institution where they are studying indicating proof of their Student status. Please fax the Registration Form
to +1-604-681-1049 along with proof of Student status or mail to the Congress Secretariat. Registration will not be processed without receipt of this documentation.
Participants registered by the Early Registration Deadline (April 4, 2008) will be automatically entered in a draw
for complimentary registration to the WVC 2008. A total of four (4) names will be drawn (randomly) and
announced on the Congress website in May 2008.
Winners will be notified by email and registration fees will be refunded upon Check-in at the Registration Desk at the Congress for the
four (4) selected participants.

- It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure their name appears on the bank transfer and all bank transfer fees are paid over and above the registration fees owed. Otherwise, participants will be asked to pay any outstanding balance at the onsite registration desk.

Please keep a photocopy/ print out of the Registration Form for your
own reference and bring it with you to the Congress.
Registration Confirmation
All correspondence, including registration confirmation, will be sent via email. All registrations will be acknowledged in writing with confirmation of participant requirements according to the submitted Registration Form and upon receipt of full payment. The Registration Form acts as a Tax Invoice.
Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy
Registration cancellations received in writing at the WVC Secretariat’s address by May 9, 2008 will be accepted and all fees refunded, less a CAD $150 administrative fee (as per Committee policy). Cancellations received after May 9, 2008 will not be accepted or refunded. However, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable. A completed Registration Form for the new person must be faxed or mailed to the Congress Secretariat prior to the Congress, explaining who is being replaced. DO NOT USE THE ON-LINE REGISTRATION FORM FOR THIS PROCEDURE. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Congress. In the unlikely event that WVAC 2008 is cancelled, travel and accommodation costs will not be refunded.
